Service can be a problem. Food is decent which is a rare find in Hoboken. Good layout, welcoming place. When the service is good it is a winner. However, the service can be spectacularly bad. So only go with plan B ready if you need to run away.
Great food, chic… but poor service.. Me an 3 of my friends love sushi an love the Sushi Lounge an have come here numerous times. It is so chic an a little piece of New York in New Jersey. It is kind off the main strip of Hoboken but just makes it seem exclusive. When you walk in it is just eye catching an super cool an modern. Although we are never disappointed with the food the service of the waitresses is almost always poor. One night after a good time we got the bill an we paid an gave a tip, but to be honest it was like the waitress forgot about us half the night, so the tip was not amazing. When we told he to keep the change, she walked away not knowing how much tip she got. When she saw she only got 15% she brought the tip back and told us to keep it. I have never been so offended in my life, so that is why we have not been back as much as we used to. Its a shame such a gem is tarnished by its snooty waitstaff.
