Judging chocolates is hard work especially when it is for The International Chocolate Awards. We’ve been at Zafra for the whole day and have still not finished. This Cuban Latino restaurant in Hoboken is owned by Dr. Maricel P who is also a permanent member of this chocolate organization. We all had lunch here. I ate two tostadas con tinga which was filling but could have used siracha. On the other hand, the freshly made fried plantains with a rich garlic citrus sauce was addictive.
Great food, waitresses are rude. Been here several times, hoping the service improves but unfortunately the food is great but the service continues to be horrible. Waitresses are rude, and unwelcoming. The only reason I return is for the food but it’s come to a point, it’s not even worth returning. Zafra’s please do something about your service because the food is excellent!
