The hostess needs to learn how to seat tables. Her priorities are completely off. Never coming back again. There were empty tables from the moment we walked in and she made us wait for over an hour.

Wait staff needs training. I want to love this restaurant because I admire what the owners are doing for the community but I again found myself disappointed with my meal at Alice’s Restaurant. For my appetizer, I was looking forward to trying the peach soup. While it was cool and refreshing, it is not something I would ever order again. For my entree, I tried the ink linguine with shrimp and calamari. I thought the $19 price was high considering there were only two shrimp on the plate, the pasta portion was the size of my small fist. Further, the pasta was so bland it tasted as though they used no salt whatsoever…like they’re trying to save money by saving their seasonings. The waitress was so busy flirting with the young men at the next table that she never once stopped back to see how everything was let alone to offer me any of the freshly ground pepper that the food desperately needed. Eating out is a rare indulgence for me. When I get to do it, I like to do it well and I like to be treated well…like I am special, not like I am an inconvenience to a young girl who would rather socialize with someone her own age than do the job her employer and my tip are paying her to do.

Lovely Evening!!. Lunch at Alice’s never disappoints. Our first dinner was so so but tonight’s was lovely. The drinks menu is very creative and the good was great. What makes Alice’s special is the staff. They are attentive without being annoying, and our server tonight had a great sense of humor!! Add to that a beautiful sunset over the lake and ou can’t ask for a better time!!!
