We went to Jefferson Diner on Father’s day around noon. When we arrived it was quite busy which we totally expected. The host/hostess were outside and asking several patrons if they wanted to sit outside as there were tables immediately available. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were not in a hurry so we said yes. The waitress came, took our drink order and came back and took our order. And then we waited and waited and we were not the only table. There were 2 other tables that were waiting with us. So after one bloody mary and 3 mimosas (an hour and half) and the fact that all of us had seen at least 2 other families enter the diner and leave, I decided to go in and say something to the manager. I approached the front area and was very nice and explained that us along with 2 other tables outside had been waiting quite a while for our orders, at least an hour and half and that normally I would not complain however I had seen 2 other gentlemen come in with their families and then leave. The woman who I believe owns the diner did not apologize nor did she acknowledge the situation but pointed to our waitress who was on her way out the door with food and said is that your food to which I said yes and walked away. After speaking to the waitress who explained there was an issue in the kitchen with the orders for the outside area, when my husband went to pay the bill and again spoke to the manager/owner woman who said to him well it’s Father’s day, you should expect a wait. Again, she didn’t apologize or even acknowledge that there was an issue. I will NEVER, NEVER patronize this diner ever again. The customer service is HORRIBLE.
We have always had a good experience here. My kids love this place! Great menu! Something for everyone. Has plenty to choose from for those looking to have a healthy meal. Even a nice Healthy section to choose from and plenty of salads. I don’t care for Diners… This is the only diner I will go to because of the delicious food and awesome menu.

Great place!. Walked in thinking it was going to be the usually crappy diner off the highway, but I was wrong. The hostess was extremely friendly, took us about 10 minutes to decide what I wanted because the menu is endless! They have everything you can imagine, so many different choices of burgers and wraps! the table next to us got a club…and it was HUGE! Finally decided on Corn Beef Ruben! My husband had the avocado club. Was surprised when it came with a whole pickle and a dish of Cole Slaw. It was absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to come back.
Great Value. Huge portions and resonable prices. Highly recommend the Chef Salad. It’s a meal for two. Same with the Club Sandwiches.
Still my absolute favorite diner…I liked the old more traditional look to it but the food is pure NJ Diners…
