Great service, great food. From the get go, the waitstaff may sure that you are taken care of and that your food is out on time. If they are busy, they update you to make sure you’re not forgotten. Everything from the grilled chicken sandwich to the Mac n cheese is loving created and the chef’s careful selection of ingredients shines through. Delightful! I will be back.
Avoid if you can. I’ll begin at the beginning. I discovered m and p years ago, and I absolutely adored the place. From the waiters to the food, it was my go to spot, even referring others there. Now, I’m totally turned off from the place, and looking for a new spot as we speak. Rude and snotty waiters who act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. Dishes served lukewarm or grossly burnt. Dirty glassware and warm tap water. Waiters who rush you when their shift is about to end, or ignore you as they text on their cellphones and chat amongst each other. When you make a request concerning your food, they ignore you, no matter how important the request is! Since this is an established place with many regulars, I guess that customer satisfaction isn’t important to them anymore. No matter, I hear that the service and food at Satis is quite wonderful, I can’t wait to try them out. Or maybe I’ll brunch at the Merchant from now on, I believe they actually have Eggs Benedict. For those wondering, don’t waste your time until the owner decides to address the issues with the waitstaff and the kitchen.
