Used to be a great place until they started to screw you with the bar prices. They now proudly serve drinks at a higher price than most places in the city.

Not as good as down neck, but saves me a trip to newark when I need a paella fix.

Good food – big portions. Service was good, food is good with large portions. Tables are a little small and gets crowded as the food is served. A nice place to get a meal. Can get crowded in the late evenings.

Huge portions..Pretty good. Very, very popular. Traditional Newark type Spanish restaurant with huge portions of pretty good food.

Big portions and prices, but low on quality.. Sampled a few dishes at this restaurant based on recommendations from local hotel employees. Was not impressed. Entrees include salad and rice/potatoes. Salad is a typical iceberg lettuce/red onion/carrot mix and is nothing special. Sampled a few tapas dished – chorizo and octopus. The chorizo was burned to chips, and the ‘pus was chewy and rubbery. The entrees we selected: 32oz porterhouse, baby back ribs, and tuna steaks. The consensus on the proteins: low quality meat and fish, and lots of it. I would’ve preferred one tuna steak of great quality instead of two mediocre steaks. My friends had the same to say about the steak and ribs. Also, the $20 sangria pitcher was like a powdered drink mix with a couple of chunks of fruit — not the sangria to which I am partial. If you have no capacity to go to NYC and are staying at a local hotel, and cannot get anywhere, I guess you could go here…

This place is so good! I recommend the garlic shrimp, churassco with the chimi, surf & turf and the sangria is serious!!! Yumm!!
