My Local Ice Cream Spot. Ice Cream Palace is a local favorite for residents of Aberdeen and Matawan. Growing up in this area, I frequented this spot with my friends during the summer. It is small and if you are looking for atmosphere then don’t bother stopping. But if you want really good ice cream, don’t look any further. They have a diverse selection of sorbets and other hard ice creams such as black raspberry. They also have the smoothest soft-serve in the Bayshore area. I recommend the vanilla soft-serve in a waffle cone. Let me put it this way, it put a Cold Stone Creamery out of business.
