Overpriced, mediocre food. Great pan fried pork pot stickers, but awful sesame chicken ($16 and didn’t even come with rice) which was clearly not made with white meat chicken and had a soggy breading. The steak seemed to be of poor quality and was tough with sinew throughout, although cooked well temperature wise. Overheard the table next to me say the rice was the best part of their meal.
Inconsistent food. If you are Chinese – this is not the place to go. You are treated very poorly compared to the non Asian customers. The food used to be the BEST in the area and has since become very inconsistent. So we tried take out – you have to make sure you actually get everything you ordered before you leave or you will find you are always missing something in the package. We used to have all our family gatherings there because so many of the family traveled to meet there as the central location. But it has become one of the restaurants we no longer frequent. They do have great dim sum though – so that is the only reason we return.
Dim sum is a must. I come here for dim sum and for lunch and dinner, but do not skip a weekend dim sum feast. The menu is not expensive at all and the food is high quality. Go visit the Chinese grocery store next door for a cultural experience. Be friendly and ask what is on each cart when you go for dim sum and they will help you and you will really enjoy the experience.
