Beyond Pita is not eye catching by any stretch but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This was my first time trying falafel and it was love at first bite. The chicken kabob was also delicious and the meat was cooked perfectly tender. It was also my first time trying baba ganush and it will not be my last! Great food just be prepared to sit outdoors because there is no indoor seating. Well worth it though.
Beyond pita is an excellent value for the avarage joe. They have a variety of options to choose from; breakfast, sandwiches and delicious middle eastern food are shure to please the on the go eater. I highly recommend the shawarma or falafel sandwich it’s a great value, only $5 for the latter. Their Philly cheese steak has been voted the best in jarsey. For dinner try a Halas platter, it provides a good meal for two. Served over lettuce it gives you a sampling of chicken, kafta, beef, hummas and Tabouligh all topped off with vegetables and a tangy tahini sauce. While you wait for your food, prepared freshly you can munch on free pita chips! Beyond pita is great any time of day 365.
