I’m falling out of love. I’ve been going to crockets at this point for over a decade. Let me say, the old crocketts (you remember) that u had to wait 45 mins on a Friday night for your fried shrimp and sides was amazing. THe fish amazing, the environment amazing. Now lets talk new Crocketts. The mac and cheese tastes like plastic, I used to drive all the way from newark for that mac and cheese so I KNOW when its gone bad and that it has. Also the prices keep going up, I realize lazy has a cost however, 6 shrimp for 14 bucks, when u can get a whole pound for a dollar less across the street at Pathmark, makes no sense to me at all 🙂 The owners are the sweetest people I think I have ever met. With that said, I emplore u guys to step the level of quality of your food back up. The potato salad still rocks, but the mac and cheese might as well be scraped from the garbage bins out back THATS HOW BAD it has gotten.I hope to see a change in their food overall soon 🙂

I just love this place for porgies!!! i’m not a whiting fan but there’s is good too. the porgies are THE best!! i can not finnd another place that makes them as good, i’ve stopped trying. the owners can be a lil quick lipped, i like the man better than the lady. sometimes i call my order in and he knows exactly who i am though i go ever couple of months or so. the sides i don’t like too much, but that fish!!! it’s alwasy cold in there, even in the winter but i just be sure to sit next to the little heater they have. They could also wipe the hot sauce bottles, they are always greasy. the fish absoblutley makes up for any cons!! yuummmyy!!!

Good fish terrible sides. They have good fish however the sides are substandard. There is a place called Uncle Sea’s on Springfield Ave, Irvington that has equally as good fish for 1/2 the cost and excellent sides. Crocketts is good but Uncle Sea’s is better quality food overall for a much better price.
