We have been here several times before –usually for charity or other special events.They made NY Eve a special event for us. The scallops were world class. I had them without the black truffles.The price was right and more to be saved since it is a BYOB restaurant. Michael is an accurate, knowledgeable, polite, and attentive waiter.
Innovative Farm to Table Fine Southern Cuisine. Escape is an excellent new addition to the Montclair dining scene. Chef/owner Bryan Gregg expertly creates fine southern dining using the freshest ingredients from locally sourced farms. Considering the innovation & quality of the food, the prices are extremely reasonable. You can get an incredible 4 course tasting menu for only $45.00 which consists of a selection of appetizer, seafood, meat/poultry and dessert. You can also order a la carte. Some memorable dishes were the delicious homemade cornbread with honey butter, awesome smoky duck sausage appetizer, delectable crawfish pot pie with cornbread crust, Mishima ranch beef with collard puree & egg yolk, pork with ramps & morels, and awesome pecan crunch for dessert. My wife & I will definitely add this restaurant to our dining rotation.
