Delicious and Friendly. My girlfriend and I tried out Joey’s for lunch and we had a great experience, Joey was friendly the lunch specials were so reasonable and the pad thai was delicious. It’s down to earth and you can talk about anything without feeling it’s too stuff. I can see coming back to this place again, it’s closer to bloom field not a great section but was cozy and had a nice vibe. I love this place.
I have tried many a Thai resturants and this by far is the best. I find a lot of places are oily and bland not the case here! The massaman is wonderful and drunken noodles are flavorful, not just heaped with chili flakes as some other places do it. If your into generic bland touristy Thai that you find in the city then I don’t advise you trying this food. However, if you enjoy fresh tasting, wonderfully flavored Thai that just makes your soul happy, then hands down this is a place for you!
Best Thai in a town with several very good Thai options. The curries are outstanding – more than just mild, medium or hot, the unusual blends of spices and seasonings create taste sensatiions I’ve never had before. The decor is nothing special, but be sure to say hello to Joey who is a lovely and gracious host. The only downside was the one time we went when he wasn’t there- then the food was only fine instead of what we had come to expect.
