Looovve this place! Food is great and the staff is friendly! Right in downtown Montclair. My favorite is the hummus/veggie platter. Absolutely delicious with generous portions!
Cool place.. Very cool bar and good service. The live bands are good and it is not too crowded. I also like how it is not on the ever-so-busy Bloomfield Avenue, so parking is at least a bit easier to get.
Classic Pub Crawl. Anybody who doesn’t like Jake’s either is old and crotchety or just a stick in the mud! I mean, what’s not to like? Old, weathered bar, Blue Moon on tap, TVs all over, a pool table, live music AND a juke box, with a menu that features an almost endless variety of munchables and some signature staples — I tried the ‘Love Handles’ burger – 8 oz, comes with fries, mozzarella sticks and onion rings — $8.95. An added plus: it’s right around the corner from the Clairidge Theater, which features very eclectic film selections.
