I have been going to Nori in Montclair since they opened about 9 years ago. Every time I went it was great, I recommended this restaurant to many people.I was there yesterday for early dinner and the worse thing I have ever found in a restaurant happened in my favorite spot. I was sitting on a table with my bf and suddenly I hear this clipping noise coming from the background. I asked the waitress if it was someone clipping their nails and effectively it was the chef of the place clipping his nails at the sushi bar!!!! I was so disgusted by that my bf and I couldn’t even eat anymore. This is the most disgusting thing I ever seen in a restaurant. This place went from being a top 10 to a -0. Yuk!!!!!! I will never come back and I would tell all the people I recommended the place NOT to go back. I am embarrased I recommended it. I am so inclinated to report them to the health department.

I had the veggie sushi combo which came with 8 pieces of sushi and 1 bugs bunny roll. All of them were so yum. The combo also came with miso soup n a salad. I tried the salad with the creamy dressing which was heavenly. Its BYOb and we bough is some sake. The waitress asked us if we’d like our drink chilled or warmed. I didnt even realise they do that. The service was good and we Will definitely go back for more!

Very Good. Nori 2 does a great job. The food is always fresh and the service is above average but not top notch. They have a nice menu with all the items you would expect plus some house specials.
