New Chef?. At one time this was my favorite restaurant in Montclair. Recently visited on a Friday night and was very disappointed to see the menu changes. Two of our favorites, small plate of scallops and the duck are no longer on the menu. I remember the chef telling me about how he made the sumptuous sauce with ground coffee and carmelized it. Wow! It was amazing. Now they have crab cakes instead, and they’re boring. They may have a lot of crabmeat but the flavor isn’t there. Now they have fewer seafood options and a lot more red meat! Are they trying to be a steakhouse? Desserts were also not worth eating… So disappointed. Please bring back the old chef!

Decent food, nice wine. Service is polite but disorganized and very, very inattentive.
