I travel a lot and don’t do chains just to find great places like this. No bar but they let me sit up front and have a glass of wine while waiting for a to go order. Owner was very friendly and gave me a pasta cooking recipe while waiting. I went with his suggestion for dinner and the food was great. A must try when in the area.

Although set in a strip mall, don’t let location fool you. This cute little restaurant appears to be family owned and more importantly authentic. Surprisingly limited wine selection (no Chianti at an Italian restaurant?!), they more than made up for with food. My co-worker had the Veal Parmesan and said it was the best veal she’s ever had. I had the Penne Taormina (eggplant, fontina cheese and penne with tomato sauce) that was to die for. The sauce was perfect. Portions were huge and it was accompanied with a great salad. Yum!

Old school. Haven’t been there in years but when they first opened they were great!

Best italian in the area. This place is expensive, but the food is very, very good. Best Italian in the area…they have mastered the red sauce, everything is very fresh, the inside decor is nice, etc. Just be prepared to pay for it…don’t assume because of the location right diagonal from a dairy queen that it’s cheap.

Aldo and Gianni has been in Montvale for years. Their menu offers Consistent Good Food at a fair price.
