Two strikes and they won’t get a third chance with me. First time i tried was two weeks ago, walked in stood at counter for five minutes and no service so I walked out.Tried again today and actually got served. I ordered three tacos and asked for two beef and one chicken. I was told no, I could not have that either three beef or three chicken. They are considering allowing that in the future but not today. ??? why ??? My son ordered the kids chicken, they told him it was really small are you sure you want it. They asked if I wanted cheese or guacamole for an up charge, never had a taco where cheese wasn’t included. The meal was poor, we took a couple bites and through it out and went next door.
Over and over disappointing. What a disappointment. They used to be the coolest kids on the block in Hoboken. Now, they are snappy on the phone and have attitude if you request anything in addition to the menu. They arrive late or way over 35min with cold (!!) photo. The quesedillas are slammed into the box and there is no presentation of the food – all looks like prepared in a rush and not being bothered about how the food looks when you open it up at your dining table. For the fifth time in a row (!!!!!) we got cold food, horribly cooked beef, old-tasting fish and mini quesedillas and all thrown in the box. We asked Stephania to please send the delivery guy to us first to have it hot due to past experiences, which was not even passed on. Call later and spoke yet again to Ruby (manager) who is really nice but even she was out of words and agreed that this is more than frustrating and happened to us more than it should. I hate to say it but never again!
Amazing!! Super authentic. I definitely recommend. Two thumbs up!
The food is mediocre at best.. This is Hoboken’s feeble attempt at an authentic mexican staple. I’ve given this place several chances, and each time I end up feeling ripped off and unsatisfied. Their tacos al pastor is a joke. If you want a really authentic taco, along with a vast variety of tradition mexican cuisine, take your business to Cinco de Mayo in Jersey City Heights. I’ve been there more times than I can count, and the food is always outstanding and very reasonably priced. I don’t speak a lick of Spanish, and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Order the Al Pastor, a cold glass of agua de jamaica, and you’ll be glad you listened to this review.
Food was fantastic the size however was not. Not worth the money. Spent 17 bucks and then went and got pizza after. Unless you have money for gourmet tacos just go to chipotle
Went to taco truck cause I was curious. I went to the restaurant instead of the truck. I ordered the barbacoa torta. For a sandwich it was presented very well, all the flavors came through very well, the bread was crusty, the beef was savory and juicy. The avocado was very bright and complimented the flavors of the beef really well. Only gripe was the size didn’t fill me but overall i was very happy wih it.
Some of the best mexican I’ve ever had. Definitely the tops in hoboken
