This is my first time here at this location; I’ve only went to the other location in Philly. It’s a BYOB authentic Mexican restaurant with a decent sized parking lot. Walking in, the atmosphere is completely different from going into American restaurants; it’s a more family-oriented feel. You’ll see little children playing with each other and running around. Everyone is friendly and it feels like there’s no such thing as strangers here. It’s almost like a huge family gathering. Right off the bat, I can say the portions are freaking hugeeeeee. Either take out half of it or risk the food-itus after your meal. I tried the Queso Loco appetizer, Carne Asada, and Pollo Asado. The Queso Loco was thick queso dip with decent size chunks of ground beef. I’d definitely recommend the Carne Asada over the Pollo Asado, but either choice was a win, anyways. The grilled beef was slightly chewy, but with each chew you cane taste a handful of flavors. I usually don’t like buttered dishes, but the buttery sauce over the chicken meat was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place, especially for special family night-outs.
Authentic Mexican food and seriously addictive! So fun to come here with a big group. The food is great and they don’t skimp on the chips and salsa. Definitely get dessert–the churros and banana xango are awesome!
Yuck – rude service and TV dinner food at best. Keep driving ….. Don’t stop
Good food, nice selection. Although I prefer a chunkier style of salsa, their salsa had a nice bite. Not too hot, not too mild.
Great Mexican. Nice family owned business that is often overlooked by locals. Great food. Not as authentic as I’ve had in San Diego or elsewhere but great. Occasionally service can be a little rude, clearing the table while your group is still talking, etc. but generally great. I recommend it!
Three words: burro de casa. It is awesome! Dinner portion is pretty big. Lunch is perfect.
Lunch @ El Azteca. I use to drive by this place all the time. It is not a big fancy place but more like if you where at your own home. As soon as you walk it you are greatly in the most inviting manner. The food was excellent, I had the tamales I was craving them. Wow talk about authentic, the flavor was outstanding, the service was great and the price was just in my budget. This place is very authentic down to earth they get very busy with limited staff seams to be family owned but I would highly recommend. I actually thought the food was very tasteful, no liquor is sold so that is fine with me I don’t drink and drive and would not take the chance to risk my or anyone’s life. Great Food!!!
