Went here with my wife on her birthday and I told the receptionist its her birthday and she said she will make a note of it. We arrived and seated I got the ink pasta with clams wife got the fish. I got a mouth full of sand from the clams and the pasta was very under seasoned. The duck confi was under seasoned as well. Not a single mention of happy bday and it took forever to get the waitress. Horrible there’s tons of better places around for a whole lot cheaper. 2 mains and an app with 2 beers and bad food and service for 100 bucks?!? Go elsewhere be forwarded!!
Way over priced. You have got to be kidding so over priced its a shame. We had the four course recommended meal what a waist . Everything was very small portions and the staff is far from career waiters they all looked like the rest of places in Newbrunswick Rutgers students and local residents of the town. Worst $200 I ever spent on a dinner for two. Don’t bother if like a big meal you will not get it here. The tiramisu didn’t even look or taste like tiramisu. Again this place is far from worth the money.
Don’t waste your money. This place thinks just because they own places in the city that they don’t need your business. Very stuffy employees and over priced food.

Unique Italian Seafood. Attending a conference at Rutger’s, our group dinner was here this evening. Great wine list, and sfisi, server explained all the cheeses, the Water Buffalo was creamy good. My dinner was the Gnocchi with Salmon enjoyed it. Dessert tiramisu and espresso, the tiramisu, was too big for one, could have been much smaller. Atmosphere, service was good, and for the size of our group well done.
Love the food love the staff love the atmosphere this is our favorite destination in new Brunswick you have have to try it. Tell matt , the manager, that mark and Patrick recommended you to come.22 Oct, 2011Our regular Friday night destination. The food top notch. The servers attentive to your every need. The manager, Matt, knowledgeable and welcoming. We look forward to Friday night when we can relax at our favorite New Brunswick spot. Can’t say enough about this place. They really go out of their way to please.
My current all-around favorite. I’ve been a fan of Due Mari since it opened and eat there at least once a week – from special occasions to getting a pizza after work, it is a real gem. I have also hosted large parties at Due Mari and the kitchen and staff did a fantastic job with food and wine that pleased my most jaded and fussy guests. The chefs pay attention to the quality of the local, fresh food used in seasonal dishes that are each a genuine treat. With one exception, I have always had professional and attentive (but unobtrusive) service. If you haven’t tried it, I recommend putting it on your Wish List.
