Vitiello’s Bakery. I can’t understand how anyone could say this place is bad. Their cheese strudel is to die for. Whenever I am going to be in Nutley, I order it ahead of time.
Awful — Shoprite and Costco are far superior. Friends had been telling me how terrible this once reputable bakery had become. One friend even told me the brownies she’d bought here were so tasteless, she was sure the baker had forgotten to add surgar. I am writing to confirm everything I’ve been told is true. I bought a strawberry shortcake here for my husband’s birthday and ended up throwing it out. Not only wasn’t real cream used in the icing, but the cake was stale. Even if they’ve been around forever, they deserve to go out of business. I will never set foot in there, again. Costco and Shoprite’s pastries are far superior and a third of the price.
