We stopped into Boyar’s looking for a fresh deli sandwich for lunch. It must be noted that this is not a restaurant, but instead a small market with a grocery, fresh fruit and vegetables as well as meat and a deli. There is a nice take-out menu and we ordered the Italian Sub and Turkey Reuben to go. The sandwiches were quite nice and large with fresh meats from the deli. This is a great place to pack a picnic lunch for the beach.
The food here is pretty good, my fried flounder sandwich was juicy on the inside and had a nice crunch on the outside. The sandwich was pretty big too. I enjoyed the fact that this place also has a market so you can pick out some snacks or drinks to go with your sandwich. My only complaint was that I watched one of the workers eating over where the food was prepped then directly after eating went on to prep some food without cleaning up…
Take out chicken is very good. One of the better places on the island.
Boyars is the best food in ocean city! They have the best chicken tenders around. Also great Italian subs!
The buffalo tenders are very good. But they could have had more sauce.
