Not Good. Food was bad and service was worse. Couldn’t complain to owner as he wasn’t there. Just an overall awful place and in seeing other eviews and the owner’s responses he is as bad as his food!!
Clean, Pleasant Service, Large Portions, Good food. My mother and I went to Periwinkles during O.C.’s restaurant week. I had the chicken piccanta and the portion was HUGE. The chicken was tender and juicy and the pasta was done perfectly. My only gripe is that the dish was slightly bland, but some people like bland food, this is not a total deal breaker. The decor is fun and ocean-esque and the servers are polite and attentive. Families welcome and I saw small kids there having a ball. We even spoke to the owner/chef who was really interested in our feedback. He was so nice and caring! This is a great spot for a meal with families or friends or even for solo diners. The bang for the buck is good. Give it a try.

Our Favotite OC Restaurant. We love Periwinkles! The location is great – just off the boardwalk on 9th Street. It is beautifully decorated in a seashore theme. The service is excellent – friendly, helpful, polite. The food is delicious. We’ve tried a number of different dishes and have never been disappointed. Try it!
Good food, nice atmosphere. Service was fine at this family restaurant. If you do the early bird special (3:30-5:30) dinner comes with seafood bar and coffee/dessert. Lots of food for the price.
Food was only OK. Not really much to write about.
