GREAT food and service. Recently went here on a friday night, great choices, ordered the roasted corn app–terrific flavors and taste, we had the chicken tacos-chicken had a fresh flavor, son had the beef tacos very good,shells were not soggy, bean burrito was very good as was the bacon ques, Server was very friendly and quick, did not hover but was always there when needed. a lot of choices on the menu. I previously had the tillapia grilled-excellent. key lime pie was WONDERFUL-just the right tartness

We can have a leisurely lunch and wefeel like we are special customers. The food is always fresh and Mark gives thedishes his artful spin on Mexican Cuisine. Viva La Cantina !
Good food despite constant admin issues. I visited restaurant again and food was very good, service was friendly and attentive BUT the staff are never made aware of any specials that Chef Mark sends out in his weekly emails. This is ongoing problem in this restaurant that never seems to get better, sadly.03 Dec, 2013Great deal with good food. Went on a Sunday for family fajita night, lots of food for reasonable price and taste was delicious.25 Jun, 2013Good food despite admin issues. Visited on June 23 after getting email for bbq specials that night. Platter for $15 and guac for $5 all day at Cantina. Platter was to be served with red beans and rice. Menu at restaurant did offer guac at $5 but bbq platter price was increased to $16.95 (not as advertised) and sides changed to spicy fries and cole slaw. Platter came out with black beans and rice, which was different from email advertisement and menu description. Bill came and we were charged $16.95 for platter that was advertised at $15. Food is always good here but this sort of thing happens all the time, there is a disconnect with the chef and his ideas….he advertises one thing but then when you get to the location, the menu offers something slightly different and then the kitchen staff does their own thing and what you get is probably different than what was advertised and management is clueless when it comes to special pricing. We overlook these issues because food is very good but it is frustrating that they don’t have better communication.

Happy Hour …. The Cantina offers a great happy hour – good specials and everything’s delicious. My favorites are the tacos, empanadas, and the bread pudding. The staff is always friendly and offer prompt, courteous service. We go back time and again!
Excellent as usual!. Another fantastic meal. This time we ordered a bunch of appys and it was great. We got to try more many more new dishes this way! Missed Chef Mark’s table side chat though! LoL
Great restaurant. The Tortilla Press Cantina in Merchantville is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been there many, many times and have yet to have a bad meal. I have had some minor disappointments (like the taco & tequila Tuesday special which had pathetically small and underfilled tacos), but overall TPC is awesome. The service is almost always great (especially the bar staff). Get the ribs; they are amazing. The prices are super reasonable for the quality and portions of the food and the happy hour specials are great.
