I have been to cake walk on a weekend right before the closing. There was no one expect me. I just wanted to grab something quick for to go. I have seen some South Indian breakfast and both south and North Indian snacks on the menu. There are different types of dosas, pesarattu, vada, idli from the South Indian menu and they had Pav Bhaji, chat varieties, vada Pav, etc which belong to the North Indian snake menu. They also had some vegetarian indo Chinese items like fried rice and vegetable manchurian. Everything on the menu was between $2-12$. All the items on the menu were available except Pesarattu and Vegetable Manchurian. I quickly wanted to pick something home so I ordered Vada Pav which was $4. They took around 5 minutes and it was still hot when I reached home. I didnt have any expectations on vada Pav but I was quiet surprised by its taste. I though it would be bland and tasteless but it turned out to me spicy! By spicy, I meant it had right amount of spice in it. The spice was from the green and red chutney (sauce) in it. So who ever doesnt want it to be spicy, can go for little chutney/sauce. The aloo patty between Pav tasted decent. I felt little sand in one bite and that was not something I was expecting! The Pav was good but it could be fresh. I didnt feel that it was baked on the same day. Overall it was a good experience. The staff were friendly too.

Love it ! This is by far the best place for perfect authentic South Indian comfort food – dosa’s and vada’s! Idly ! Delish !. yes … the name is deceptive. Apparently it started off being just a snacks and cake joint but later turned into a dosa heaven. The sambhar is just out of the world. Do visit this small outlet for a cup of masala chai and steamy idly vada sambhar in the evenings. P.S – you could get unlucky and get served morning idlys at night on weekdays. This could spoil the taste and … Mood.
