We stopped by to try a sandwich, which are pretty famous in those parts. We settled on the body bag, which had hash browns, steak, ham, egg, ketchup, and hot sauce. We all had mixed reviews of the sandwich. I personally did not the flavor combination at all. The steak did not taste like steak, and the meat portion was skimpy. There was more egg and hash brown than anything. The sandwich seemed to be missing something to give it a kick (Sanchez sauce?). For the price, however, you can’t beat the size of the sandwich. All of the hoagies were made to order, and fast. I suppose if we had tried something different, our experience would have been better.
So the Sanchez is so wrong it is good. Get ready to feel gross, but it is so worth it. Fantastic cultural experience. If ever in the area, make time one evening to visit Hoagie Haven.
