Robbinsville is spoiled for great pizza with Papa’s & Dilorenzo’s. I love papa’s and there is no question this place is in the same class as the neighbor down the road. It’s a cash only byob spot and the tomato pies are outstanding; we love the sausage & roasted red pepper pie and the Italian stallion is outstanding as well. Great pizza.
I was in New Jersey recently and wanted to give Papa’s a try, given the history behind the place. Had a great, eggy, caesar salad to start. Ordered two pies, one regular with meatballs, the other, the infamous mustard pie, with pepperoni. I thoroughly enjoyed the thin, crispy crust. I think I preferred the mustard pie, which consists of brown mustard going on the crust before the tomato sauce. It was more subtle than I would have thought, but added a nice tang. Pies made nice leftovers as well. Recommended for sure.
