An iconic restaurant that’s been around forever! And yes they have the best clam chowder on the planet! Worth the wait… Trust me! Bring cash.
Make sure to stop at Smitty’s Clam Bar when in Somers Point, NJ! The food is excellent! I make sure I stop there on my way home from South Jersey. The fried shrimp and fries along with the New England Clam Chowder are worth the stop! Also gave the tuna and crab salad with a side of coleslaw. They have outside seating along a bar and indoor seating. It is BYOB, located right along the water and it is casual dining. They are a very busy restaurant but they keep customers moving in a very relaxed way. It is family friendly and inexpensive. jackieskitchn.com
