I come for their Tom Ka Kai soup! Creamy coconut milk broth- meaty mushrooms, lemongrass and thinly sliced chicked with a dash of heat and eartyness with fresh cilantro. Incredible!!! Everything I have ever had has been a 10 out of 10!
Superb dining in Somerville. Origin’s consistently offers some of the most incredible dining in Central Jersey. Somerville location near the Post Office / Train Station is easy to find, convenient parking and allows BYOB carry in wine or beer. Nearby wine shop on Main Street (Discover Wine) actually has a series of wine selections paired to Origin’s cuisine. As for the food, we’ve tried at least half of their regular menu now and yet to find a dish less than enjoyable. All time favorites are the apple/fennel salad, royal massaman curry and duck tamarind…..the latter deftly made with a crisp thick skin, moist interior and racy sweet sour tamarind sauce that pairs so well with tight German rieslings that walk the same sweet/steely tightrope. Phenomenal flavor profiles.

By far the best Thai restaurant in Jersey. The food is amazing, the staff is extremely nice and very accommodating. By far one of my favorite restaurants. Have never had something to eat that I did not like. Plus byob!
Somerville Gem. Tucked behind a major grocery store is this Thai place definitely one of Somerville’s hidden gems. Place looks unassuming from the outside but inside is a different story. I like the ambiance and the decor, very Zen and Thai. The food is excellent and their pad thai is one of my favorites.
The ambiance was inviting, trendy, and charming. The staff was pleasant and the service was quick. The food was good, too. The Pad Thai was excellent! This was our first time trying Thai food, so it would have been nice to have someone explain some dishes or make recommendations. Overall, it was a nice experience and we will come out again…
