One of my faves!. I love Melting Pot. I will say that some experiences, as well as servers, have been better than others, but I still keep going back. I have copycated some of their sauces at home and done my own melting pot at home, and while going out to the restaurant is pricey, to do the whole thing from start to finish at home costs just as much. I love all their cheese, as well as the coq au vin cooking style. I favor the dark chocolate fondues as a personal preference, but I definitely think the white chocolate base is too runny and do not care for it. I also am not a fan of their adult beverages that are made in house. I think they are pricey and not that good. Stick with a beer or wine.
Way too expensive considering you have to cook your own food. They should be paying me. If I wanted to cook my own food, I’d stay home. The food was just alright.
Sorry but. Overpriced, tedious, drawn out dinner. Nice interior, great downtown location. Slow service. Value not commensurate with the price
This place is AMAZING! Its soooo good staff was wonderful its pricey but worth it. 🙂
Save your money. Visited for easter. Had the 3 course special. Started w/ cheese fondue. Nice fondue but the italian bread was not fresh. Overall the main course was good if not filling. Portions are on the small side. Guys eat before you go! We only learned when we received the bill that the waiter had upsold us to teh mojo cooking style which we had no idea carried an extra charge. Mojo is apparently a few extra spices uin the fondue vegetable cooking broth. The waiter recommended it but never hinted it wasn’t one of the special easter menu we selected. Had a milk chocolate fondue for dessert. They provided 4 slices of banana, 2 sliced strawberries, 2 pieces of pound cake, 2 pieces of brownie, a small slice of cheesecake, and filled it out with marshmallows and rice krispy treats. Would it kill them to include a full serving of fruit rather than marshmallows? Overall we agreed it was nice to try but we would never come back. Just not much there for a dinner that cost as much as a low end car payment. Oh yes – it wasn’t crowded but we still had to wait a long time between courses. Overall it took 2 hours.
The fondue here is great! A good place to go on a date or a fun night with friends.
I love this place! Sure it costs alot but it is great food and the name says it all you cook your own food at your table! If you are hungry and have 100$- about 150$ to throw out go to any melting pot. If I had to pick, I would say the melting pot in redbank nj is great, the place has some history it used to be a factory for army uniforms
