This place is garbage u get a Spanish waiter with a bad attitude place smells horrible I waited Patiently to see if the food came out good and it was so bad too there burritos don’t have rice or beans in them tacos smell and taste like dog food rice and beans are un eatable we left all our food on the table me and my ant eat there then at the end we get a check for $90. Over priced slop Taco Bell is better save your money the only reason this place got such good ratings is I think they rate there self lol it was completely empty
Been there twice. Had to get the enchiladas tricolor twice because they were so good. My wife had the pork burrito with salsa verde. She loved it. Their salsa is pretty good. Only con was the red sauce on the one beef enchilada, tasted more like an Italian marinara sauce. It was good, but would substitute with a different sauce next time if ordered again.. Definitely would return.
Salsa isn’t great but food is awesome and big servings
Solamente Bueno. MC and I generally love this place however lately some inconsistencies have popped up. SEB was fair in describing the salsa as marinara like in consistency, but not in flavor. I had the mole sauce with my entree and it was delish. Slightly spicey with anise undertones. Service was lackluster. I requested two seperate sauces for my dish and was denied. Would have prefered Mole and ?. Dining room is cozy. Hours listed on this pg are incorrect. They are open for dinner Nightly.
El tenampa restaurant is NOT that great. Their red salsa isn’t typical Mexican red salsa it’s marinara sauce. If you want amazing AUTHENTIC Mexican food in manahawkin you must go to El Jose Mexican takeout. It’s located on east bay avenue inside the gulf gas station mini Mart. Don’t let the location fool you it’s amazing food and very reasonable prices. Very very friendly people and it’s family owned and operated!
Love it. Best Mexican restaurant in town! The dessert menu is excellent!!! HIghly recommend the sopapillas and fried ice cream.
I enjoy taking out of town guests here. The food is delicious, the restaurant clean, the staff friendly and patient, and the prices inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a family dinner, night on the town, or lunch with friends.
