OG presents as white table cloth but falls just shy. Overall we had a nice experience and would return but there are some expectations that come with trying to be more than you are.The good: NE clam chowder was silky and delicious. The tapenade served with the bread. The day boat dry scallops. The squash soup. And the service was pleasant and attentive. The not so good:Fresh pepper is NOT offered for any course. I thought for a moment they didn’t have a mill but then I spotteda white one across the room but by then it was too late. The scallops were described as being served in brown butter. They came out in a brown liquidtasting nothing like thesalty/nutty characteristics of simply being seared and finished ina brown butter. The rice pilaf that came with the scallops was pedestrian at best.Lacking flavor or thought. Lastly the bread.OG creates this delicious spreadthen serves it with afreezer to oven bread(Rudis ?) which is fine ifI’m not in a white table cloth restaurant charging me $25+ per entre.

Not to be missed !. One of the BEST restaurants for LBISeems to always serve good food. Attentive wait staff!Have been a fan of Octopus’s Garden for over 30 years and the food has been consistently good ! Try lobster Night ! Baltimore & LBI fans……….C & J
I’D LIKE TO BE, UNDER THE SEA….. My wife & I have dined in this local BYOB (that happens to offer wines from Sharrott Winery in Winslow, NJ, by the way) twice, and must say this is one of the finest seafood restaurants in all of South Jersey. On Tuesday evening, March 15, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Jumbo Stuffed Shrimp platter, & I was equally pleased with the Panko Crusted Shrimp. (Tuesday night is Crab & Shrimp Night) The soups, sides and desserts are all wonderfully prepared, and the service is warm and friendly. What else would one possibly want?
