Not the real deal. Definitely not a real New York water bagel but better than most other bagels around. If you want a real New York water bagel then go to Jersey Shore Bagels on Drum Point Road in Brick.
Mobile review. Not too sure if the water actually comes from New York. I asked an employee what part of NY they get the water from & they said up-state then pointed at the jugs they have sitting along the stairs explaining how they transport the water. Considering the water jugs were covered in dust i don’t believe it one bit, i think its false advertisement and that’s how they try to pull people in. There coffee sucks and is also WAY too over priced. I’ll stick to Wawa. Don’t think this place will last too much longer.
Disgusted.. I am a frequent customer of this bagel store, recently I have decided to only come in on Sundays being that the nasty employees during the week are not working on this day. During the week I usually walk in on the employees personal conversations about their lives while I stand their waiting to be helped. The short heavy set girl always has the most unapproachable look on her face and I feel uncomfortable to even say hello to her or even give her my order when she is on the cash register. The other girl who always seems to be frazzled and unfriendly is almost always rude when on the cash register. Multiple times when she has taken my order she has told me the price and then walked away before taking my money. Due to the attitude I have received during the week I will only come in on Sundays when the younger girls and older lady is there. The older lady never fails to say hello and ask me how I am before taking my order and whoever hands me my order when it is ready always tells me to have a nice day.
Slow service & overpriced!. I ran in to grab a sub since I had heard people talking about this place. I had a bagel from here once and still prefer Manhattan Bagel. For subs I really like Jersey Mike’s but I was up for trying something new and a little more convenient. So I ordered a large Italian sub and was stunned when the price was $4 more than Jersey Mikes! OK, so I’m expecting this outrageous sandwich…the only thing I can say is it’s made with Boar’s Head product but it isn’t worth the extra money. Now, on to service. The girl making the sandwich had to slice and weigh each item that went on the sandwich so it was extremely time consuming – about 7 minutes to make it…and I couldn’t see what she was doing. I like to be able to see behind the counter and watch the sandwich being made.I can tell you I wont be going back. It’s too bad, there were a lot of things on their menu but there just isn’t any rationalizing this.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!. Not only do they have the BEST BAGELS but their PIZZA is AMAZING! The people that work there are always very pleasant. This place has been my favorite for breakfast & lunch. Now its my favorite for pizza too!
Toms River’s Best Bagel Store. I go to New York Water Bagel every weekend for breakfast. The service is excellent (everyone is polite and courteous). The food is always fresh and tasty. Since coming to New Jersey from Brooklyn (where the bagels are delicious) I haven’t had good bagels until I found New York Water Bagel. The lines are out the door on the weekend and guess why? Because the bagels and food are GREAT.
I would like to start off by saying that i frequently go to new york water bagel company for bagels and cold cuts as well as breakfast on the weekends with my children and i cant say enough about the service and friendliness of everyone that works there. its not too often you go into a bagel store and they know you by your first name as well as your childrens names as they do when i come in here!! i have never seen a more clean environment as well.. the food is always on its game …. the bagels are excellent and everything has always been fresh.. in my opinion this place gets a huge thumbs up for the food and service!!!! i would recommend going there because it feels just like home
