Oh yea and inside decor mirrors on the walls lol well Villa Amalfi was 100 times better! Silvestri ! Maybe they stopped learning ! Owner should take a trip to Italy or maybe look at a cookbook !lol
Best Italian Restaurant!. This is the best Italian restaurant in the area. The food is outstanding and the service is warm and attentive.
My wife and I enjoyed our meal here, but we k ow numerous places where the food is better and the prices are much better! If you feel that pricey items means good food, this restaurant may be for you. I found it to be a little pretentious.
High Priced-Nothing Special. Looks good, service is good, food is high priced and mediocre at best. $350. for 6. Could have had the same maybe better dinner for $200 less at any other local Italian Restaurant. When we arrived I gave the owner/cashier my credit card so I could pay the bill without a fight at the end. At the end of the meal the waiter brought the check and gave it to my father in law…I was somewhat annoyed and went up to the front…and they couldn’t easily find my credit card. About 5 min later they found it. They got my food order wrong twice….and the others were finished by the time I got mine…still wrong. They apolijized but they didn’t offer anything in return. Too many mistakes for a very high priced restaurants with just average food.
DELICIOUS!. The food was very good! It was truly the best Italian food that I have ever had. I would recommend the gnocchi with meat sauce or the sea bass, both were superb! The service was attentive and polite. The dessert was very delicious, home made cheesecake and tiramisu are what we had and they were both very good!
Good food, great service. My family and I were staying in Tom’s River over Thanksgiving and were looking for a decent place to eat when we happened on Villa Amalfi. We were not expecting much but were very pleasantly surprised by not only the food but the service. My daughter had the gnocchi which was light and fluffy. I had stuffed ziti which was not overly cheesy and also very light. My son had a large bowl of mussels and my husband had a veal dish that was flavorful and tender. We all had tartufo for dessert. Yum! Jason, our waiter was personable and knowledgeable as well. We would certainly go back for another meal if we were in the area again.
Very Italian With Great Food. This is as close to Italy as I’ve gotten in Toms River, NJ! The servers often have accents, and if you close your eyes while they recite the specials, you’ll feel as if you’re dining in Rome. The meals are typical Italian fare for the most part but always delicious. The clientele is usually family, skewing to an older crowd. It’s not exactly hip, but when we want solid Italian food that’s of higher quality than a pizzeria offers, this is where we go.
