Excellent authentic Guatemalan food. byob, inexpensive and big portions. PLEASE DON’T pay attention to the 60% rating – that’s from jealous owners of competing places. We’ve been regulars here for about 6 years and this is just like the fantastic local food that you get while traveling throughout Latin America. Guatelinda is always busy and it’s because their food is just EXCELLENT, with good portions and cheap prices. We don’t go as often as we used to but still try and get there every month or so and are ALWAYS happy with our food and service. We’ve been going here pretty much since they opened a few years ago. Please note that this place is a true Guatemalan restaurant and a local spot. Therefore, if you don’t have some Spanish and a sense of adventure then this may not be your scene. But if you want to eat very fresh authentic Guatamalan cuisine, with big portions and good prices – then this is for you.The decor is nice and casual. Service is pleasant and attentive. But …. if you don’t speak Spanish then you can ask for Carlos or his sister – they are the owners and speak perfect English. We like pretty much everything that we get but our absolute favorite is the Cerdo Carne Adobada. Succulent pieces of pork rubbed in some secret spices and grilled. It’s fantastic. Bring a few cold ones and some friends and ENJOY!!!
