Great Girls Night Out.. The food was great! Made fresh and served hot. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The servers where very attentive and friendly. We’re a tough group. This place has great potential. I hope they make it. The location is not great for drive by customers. Unless you know it’s there, you’ll miss it. Good luck and thanks for a scrumptious night.19 Nov, 2014Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Pasta with Mushrooms. Yummy!19 Nov, 2014Chicken with Mushrooms, Peas and Sun Dried Tomatos. Fabulous! Traditional Italian food done right. My parents and i were in town on a Thursday night; stayed at the Marriott and walked here for early dinner (renovations at the Marriott meant no in-house restaurant, which turned out to be just as well). People are concerned about the neighborhood, but on a spring evening, it was very comfortable walking. As mentioned elsewhere, not much open, but it was just a couple of blocks awaynice to not take the car out after a 1.5-hour drive from north Jersey.I was a little concerned about the price ratings (had not read reviews) and that I could not find a menu online, but no worries. Prices are perhaps high for central Jersey, but right in line with Bergen County. We tried to guess the ingredients of the complementary sweet potato corn croquettes; Mom did recognize the sweet potatoeslovely texture as well as flavor; my dessert. I had the pasta primavera, delicious; my parents had ravioli and spaghetti bolognese, very happy.Definitely old-school Italian reminded me in atmosphere of Solaris in Hackensack before the makeover (which was a negative in my book). Solaris is also in a government area, near the county courthouse as Settimo Cielo is near the state house; I surmise similar clientele who know quality, like old-fashioned service. There was a fresh rose on each table, too; very elegant. We were early, a few tables filled as we ate, and the bar was doing well, but I bet they have a big lunch business from the state house, as well as dinner business when there is an event at the War Memorial.Glad we tried it; definitely a keeper!
