Lotus Express is located inside Cumberland Mall. Contrary to what one might expect from other malls, Cumberland Mall does not have a food court. So Lotus Express here is actually a restaurant with its own seating. However, they serve standard food court Chinese fare. You have a choice of fried rice or noodles, and you can pick two or three items from about a half dozen dishes in steam trays.The food is pretty much at mall food court level, so don’t expect too much. What I like about them is they have some spicy items, spicy chicken and curry chicken, so it’s not bland. The roast pork is pretty good as well. And finally, the service is pretty good. One caveat though: bring your own water if you’re not buying drinks. They won’t give you a free cup of water, even if you are buying food and eating it there.
