Back again. This time with a friend with the same results. Great sandwich and pickle bar. Knishes were delishes. Brisket was a little dry as was our servers personality. Will return down the line.12 Feb, 2011One Monstrous Sandwich. One step in the door I already knew I was ordering the corned beef or pastrami. I chose the latter. Piled high on rye I couldn’t open my mouth wide enough to fit the darn thing in my mouth. The Kibitiz is a perfect example of American excess. I’m surprised Man vs Food has not been here yet. In addition to the fresh cut fries was a pickle bar with asst goodies to choose from, ranging from sweet and sour slaw to half sour pickles. Not cheap eats, however it was yummy and large enough to enjoy a second time at home.

Hey JasonPariser: Why go to Philly when I can go to NYC??. Why go to Philly for a monstrous pastrami sandwhich when I’d rather support a South Jersey joint. What’s in Phlly anyway for these type of deli sandwhiches when I can get the best in NYC.

The only problem with Kibitz is there isn’t enough time to try it all. Quality is top notch. Perhaps sandwiches are subjective especially when it comes to beloved NY deli treats. But this place has never disappointed me. Corned beef is a must, and everything they add makes a difference like Cole slaw and dressing. Try a triple decker with CB, pastrami and homemade smoked turkey. It’s not a menu item but ask the waitress, they will make you anything you crave.

A deli by New York standards in price alone. Quality is LACKING GREATLY! As the owner knows all too well, there really isn’t anyplace else to go. Skip it and go into Philly
