  Today-Sunday 7-1-18 at approximately 1:30pm. My husband, grandchild and self decided to treat ourselves after morning worship. So we go to Key City Diner in Phillipsburg, NJ. In the middle of our meal my husband complains to me and in turn we inform the waitress about (something in the bottom of his cup of coffee). The waitress quickly removes the cup and asked if he wanted another cup. We both said, Nooo! After the meal she gave us a scribbled bill, which we could not read and she was no where to be found. So I went to the register. The Mother and/or Owner retrieved the waitress and I tried to ask if the coffee was removed. The waitress said, No – because your husband drank the coffee. I said, but something was in the bottom of the cup. You shouldve apologized and remove the coffee off the bill. They both looked at each other and made a face at each other. The waitress asked the Mother/Owner , should I take the coffee off the bill? And then the waitress walked away. I said to the Mother I come in here all the time. The mother said, they all say that. I said, I come in here at night, thats why I dont see you. She told me, just wait, wait wait lady. (Her voice got louder) As she rang up another patron. I said, my name is not lady, my name is, Ko……. Then she said, you dont know what I want to call you; now get out of my store. She picked up the phone and started dialing it. I then walked back to the booth and got my grandchild and husband. I told my husband she wont take off the coffee. He said, then we wont leave a tip. As we approached the register her son was waiting to ring us up. The next thing I know, the little lady, the Mother came from behind the counter and proceeded to yell at me, with her fingers 3-4 inches from my face. (Dont come back, Get out of my store, etc.) Her son was saying; Ma – what are you doing?! She followed us out of the Diner mumbling, and then she jumped in her black Range Rover revved her engine and peeled out of the parking lot like a race car-driver. Today Im writing my first review, because when we could not understand/read the bill; (I asked the waitress to take the coffee off the bill) And if the coffee was on the bill. 2nd reason: Customer Service. You are suppose to apologize to your customers if there is something in the food, that doesnt belong, e.g., hair, plastic, dirt etc. (Dont get mad at the customer) 3rd. Im almost 50yrs old and I know the Mother was much older than me. And I really thought the Mother was gonna hit me. I felt threatened. I was hoping she had cameras and that they worked and that the police was enroute, because she behaved badly if she was really the owner, like she claimed . My husband and I was in there about two weeks ago and I got burnt rye toast a little after midnight on Saturday. But we still went back today. Supporting our neighboring businesses. Food Quality = 2Prices too high = 1 (drive 2min to Friendlys Rt 22 East or GPS Dennys 15 minutes away) Customer Service = minus -10 (be ready to fight)
