Can’t Go Wrong. One of the better Chinese restaurant in northern NJ. The dim sum is very good and is probably the best in northern NJ. The Cantonese dishes are made very well. My complaint is that the menu has too much of a variety in terms of all Chinese cuisines. They are well prepared but just doesn’t compare to the Cantonese plates there which I think is the best that they do. Service is attentive and friendly. The ambience is very pleasant and they have parking.
Let me start off by saying that I am Chinese and grew up in NYC and my dad used to own a Chinese Resturant. China Gourmet is the closest you will find in the area for authentic Chinese food. Their Dim Sum on the weekends is comparable to the prices in Chinatown and the selection is pretty good. I’ve held a Red Egg Party at China Gourmet and used their banquet menu, friends and family were impressed with the quality of the food. So if you don’t want to drive all the way to NYC for authentic Chinese, go to China Gourmet!
