I’ve been coming here since I was 3. I’m now 30. I moved an hour away when I was 13. I have been making a pilgrimage to this place once a month for the past 17 years. I love Tex/Mex food. It is honestly my favorite kind of food. No place has ever come close. Yea, if you go late in the day, you have to wait, no matter what time it is. I have waited over an hour multiple times because this food is worth it. The chips and salsa are top notch and the seasoning is amazing. I can’t wait to go back.
We went here on a weekday afternoon and still had to wait 10 minutes. That says everything about the popularity of this place. The food is super yummy and the portions are generous. Don’t miss the Enchiladas and Quesadillas. Expect a long wait on weekends.
Excellent or should I say texillant!!Went in on Saturday around 8pm, the place was buzzing.!there were like 300 people there.Having come from Melbourne, I’ve never seen a suburban restaurant so busy, may be a buffet back in the early 1990s when we were kids.We had the classic tequila, avian tequila n the gold tequila. I was happy after that.For meals I had the chicken enchilada n jambalaya .We had our drinks at the bar, after an hour our table was ready n food served within 15 min.Good food ( surprising in the U.S., it had flavour)The waitress was good n friendly n the fit out was a typical loud n bright rex- mex, yet classy.Will be back in 5 years
Be prepared for the long wait time because there is just a huge crowd to eat here. The wait is totally worth it and I can say that this is the best Mexican food I’ve had. The atmosphere is so cool and vibrant as well.
This place is so damn cool! I never had an experience of such a long wait for a table (because such experiences are rare in India & but that was US). Anyways i was there a month back enjoying my vacation in Jersey & we ended up here in one of the nights for dinner with family. So as i spoke about the waiting period…there goes no doubt that you have to make a booking WELL in ADVANCE!Next coming to food (minus the usual salsa & chips which was fresh & yummy too) its all great. Yes because there is like a huge crowd to be served so please don’t expect fast service (yeah its too slow at times). Rest the Mexican food they serve was nice & very reasonably priced.The ambience seemed traditional to me with dim lighting around. The bar was also quite cool. Must check out with friends & a good hangout for celebrations. Check out my pics 🙂
Best Food and ambience Hands Down. It is a personal favorite with me and my wife. Love their margaritas (Gold ones On the Rocks) while waiting for the buzzer to BUZZZZ….., Oh yeaah.. that will be for an hour any day…But who cares… and if you can grab the seats by the pub table and order the fries , your wait can be really really a good one.Love their Blackened chicken, Chicken Guadalajara and many more.
Old Faithful. I have been going to this Tex-Mex restaurant for a very long time. Never once have I had a complaint, except for the time I only had a fork and no knife. For a restaurant that I frequently go to they have to have consistency. For the past 15 years I’ve always gotten full off of the chips and salsa. The salsa is made there as well as the fried chips and they are addicting. The only downside is that there isn’t a spicy salsa. On random occasions my waiter/waitress has given me crushed up jalapenos and i add this to the salsa. I normally get the veggie burro or the cheese enchiladas. These are amazing and very filling. My friends get the chicken burro and rave about it every time. The pricing is cheap for the amount of food given which is always a plus. The only other thing to say about this place is that there is always a line. I think once when it was snowing there wasn’t a line, but that in itself should tell you how amazing the food is.
