Went downhill…. WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE? For my wife and I, this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, we had been eating here for years. Then about 1-2 years ago, there were some changes made to the menu, the hours were cut shorter, and ever since then there has been a decline in the quality of food and service. This most recent visit was the last straw for us – the sweet-chili glazed salmon had NO sweet-chili glaze (what’s the name of the dish?) and was SALTY to an unedible degree. I sent the order back, and luckily was not asked to pay for it (although I left the restaurant hungry). My wife ordered the hamburger with no cheese and no onions, which seems to be too complicated for their staff to get correct. First we were told that french fries were unavailable, which she wanted. Then the first time we received a burger with cheese, sent the order back, then we received an undercooked RAW hamburger, sent the order back again, then the third time we received a burger WITH CHEESE AGAIN, sent the order back and asked them to just put the new burger in a to-go box because we were done with this place. Behold, when we got home, we saw a sloppy poorly-made burger WITH ONIONS. C’mon, I get better service at M*cDonalds, even on the worst of days.
Happy hour til 7 will get you half price draft beers, sushi, and select menu items (at the bar only). Flat bread pizza is good & a cheap easy dinner, especially when staying at the hotel next to Kona.
