Youve got to be kidding me.. This place has been there for decades so I decided to go in and check them out. I had steamed dumplings that had an overpowering filling. It tasted like the sauce they paint on the ribs. I also ordered a seafood and pork soup noodle which was actually pretty good. The pork and noodles were delicious all of the peices were too big and hard to handle with the little soup spoon they give you. The scallops and shrimp were frozen ones not fresh but tasted good, I didnot like the fake crabmeat sticks in it and the broth was weak, As I ate I looked around and saw that there were 4 ceiling tiles missing and roughly 60% of them were bulging and/or stained. This place has about 6 booths and 6 tables. 3 of the boothes had junk piled in and on them, unusable for customers and looked like sanford and sons living room.
We ordered the Red Dumpling, garlic chicken, chicken and shrimp, and general tso chicken and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup and garlic chicken was good. Everything else was mediocre.
Great Value for the Money. The Red Dumpling Noodle Shop is a family run restaurant on Main Street in Woodbridge. It is fine for dining in or take out, and they deliver. The Hot and Sour Soup is a great starter. Among my favorite appetizers are the Egg Roll or the Fried Dumplings. I usually have General Tso’s Chicken, but I’m also fond of the Sesame Chicken. You can order ala carte, but many of their best items are offered as luncheon or dinner specials, which include soup or egg roll, entree, and white or fried rice. An excellent value.
