While the other restaurant in the neighbourhood was a disappointment, I just loved the vibe here. They completely nailed the Onion Uttapam and the filter coffee or maybe it was just the fact that I had not eaten a good Indian mean in a while! Nevertheless I totally loved it. Sambhar was great and so was the Chutney and walking a couple of miles to get there from my hotel was totally worth it! foodeepanda.com

After renovation, this place looks really good. A traditional south indian restaurant.. now they added north indian, chinese etc. Our fav is the south indian thali.. we also tried naan and kadai kaneer and it tasted so good. Not an everyday restaurant but good for once in a while eat. Friendly staff. Much much better than the NY branch of saravana bhavan. If u r bear Edison , try this for sure.
Busy place and not so impressive a menu. The taste is ok. The service is slow sometimes so if you are in a rush this is not the place. So items are good and tasty.
Spacious interiors, friendly staff, a very versatile yet simple menu and that taste of authentic south Indian cuisine is what sums up Saravana Bhavan.The snacks or tiffin items are great. The full thali and the mini meals include all the taste goodness. The pineapple sheera takes the cake in terms of its taste and the chunky pineapple pieces.All in all its a Tamil heartland in Wood Ave and its visited by us Indians as well as localites in big numbers.
