Good not Great. Here for the first time today. We both had enchiladas one red one green. They were good. The only thing I wished they had chile between each layer. The stack of three corn tortillas and cheese were topped with chile. Sopa’s were good, NOT real honey. We’ll probably be back to try something different. Rice was not bad just not great. Beans tasted good but could’ve been cooked longer before they were refried.
Montanos is a very straight forward New Mexican restaurant. Their menu is a bit more diverse in the way of Mexican food in the south. The decor is simple and the restaurant is modest. These are not points against them, just don’t go expecting an Epcot of restaurants like Gardunos. The service was prompt and polite, I waited for nothing. Very nice experience.
This place has great food, BIG portions and low prices! There’s not much space in the dining area… About 8 or 9 small tables, so you might have to wait for one. I like the green chili!
