Some of the best barbecue I’ve had in Albuquerque. The only drop back was that they were slammed on a Sunday afternoon so the service was a bit slow but the food was excellent!
This place could’ve been so good but alas, disappointing. Pretty much everything could’ve used some more seasoning. For $5 we only got about 10 fried pickles in the order, kinda cheap. Instead of the wait staff asking if we needed anything they should’ve expected the basics, like when people are done eating they may want the check. All in all I won’t be coming back.
Great barbecue!. We have tried J R’s Barbecue on Juan Tabo twice and we love it! It is by far better than Quarters on Wyoming or County Line. It’s also affordable. I’ve tried the brisket, the sausage and the ribs and all were good. The fried okra is my favorite side – reminds me of home cooking back in Oklahoma. They make takeout pleasant, packing your food neatly instead of haphazardly like so many other restaurants. I’m just glad they decided to locate close to my part of town!
Tandy. Ordered pork sandwich. Was kinda bland. Needs more sauce. Order extra. But I liked it. Fries were good too. Mixed berry pie was awesome! Like homemade!
