Typical American Chinese buffet with a smaller selection. Nothing stands out as great, but anything with jalapeos is what I go for. To go orders of shrimp fried rice are too expensive for what you get. Most of the time I go into a coma afterwards. It’s very forgettable. The question I have is why do places like this have the aweful looking poached/boiled fish? Who actually eats that and why? It’s so funny to see Polaroids up front at the register. They are likely from 1982. Uncle Rico might be in one of them, but I haven’t looked that closely. Better off getting the tai pae (spelling) frozen meals at Walmart. They are actually pretty good! I think saengs is the best Asian in Clovis. Thai bamboo is okay, while Thai city has gotten worse for me over the years. None of the above is a place I flock to, but saengs would be my choice if I had to have Asian. If you want to get sodium poisoning with a side of coma topped with cholesterol, give Fuzhou a try. 🙂
Service. I think the food is pretty good there. My family and I used to eat there quite a bit but the service there needs improvement. The last time we ate there I felt like the waitresses were having a bad day and taking it out on us. This has happened several times. I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon.
