Smoked Chicken Wings. Honey Chipotle and teriyaki
Tasty BBQ. I’m in Clovis for a couple months on business and have hit up the Rib Crib a couple times now. I wasn’t sure what to expect due to the negative reviews out there. So far my coworkers and I have had nothing but good experiences there. The food is very good, love the ribs, the pulled pork, and the smoked chicken. I like that you can get all their meat without sauce and just the dry rub. In my opinion BBQ isn’t good if you HAVE to put sauce on it and this BBQ is definitely good without. They do have good sauces on the table to choose from: Spicy BBQ (more kind of what you’d expect from Texas style), a mild BBQ ( a little sweet, still with spices, just not spicy hot), and a South Carolina Mustard. We’ve had attentive and friendly service every time. Its quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat at in Clovis and I’m not usually a fan of dine-in chain restaurants.I noticed some of the reviews mention that everything tastes the same. In regards to this, I actually overhead an employee talking about how they’ve recently changed their recipes to use different seasoning mixes on different dishes. Apparently they’d been using the same rub on everything and the company had been getting a lot of complaints. I can say from experience now that their different dishes do taste different. I’ve tried pretty much every type of meat they serve and they all taste different and are all great.
No Thank you!. This is a chain .. so I would assume that they have a certain level of standards… that is FALSE! Every time I come to rib crib, I am hopeful! The menu looks good, but the food is always bad. The meat usually tastes old. My husband really enjoyed it the first time we went so that is why we chose to return a few times, hoping that it would get better. So far, it has been bad every time!
NM BAR-B-Q. Nice little place to have good Barb-B-Q. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. I have a three meat combo and it was excellant.
I recently attended a banquet catered by Rib Crib. The brisket was gray and super dry. The BBQ chicken was acceptable, but nothing special. I will not be visiting this restaraunt. If you want better BBQ, go to Fat Boys.
Hit or Miss. I’ve left the Rib Crib on occasion and felt that I’ve never had better BBQ in my life…and then there’s other times when the meat is cold and it’s just not that great. I think you have to know when they cook the meat. That’s the key. If it’s been sitting out all day it’s usually dry and not so great, but when it’s fresh it’s SO good!
Don’t come here if you want to eat!. My friend took me out for my birthday to ribcrib for some BBQ, but instead we got AWFUL SERVICE. Not only did they leave out food on the counter for 30 minutes before serving us. We had to wait 30 minutes between drink refills. Needless to say when the order came out it was COLD, and they forgot sides. The manager at this store was REAL DICK when I called and told him about the experience. I really didnt expect they could be so bad, but they proved me wrong. Thanks RibCrib for the mediocre BBQ. I wont be back.
