So we were having a very busy evening as usual. My wife had prepared some pulled pork and wanted to put it in top of some baked potatoes for dinner. We’ll, we were out of baked potatoes and short on time to buy some at the grocery store and bake them. Her friend said sdg had plain baked potatoes for $1. Since we’ve never been, she went and was charged $12.95 for 2 completely plain baked potatoes. She was very distracted at the time with the kids in the car, and wasn’t thinking about it when she handed over her card. So I flipped when I saw the receipt and called right away. We were charged for potatoes with butter and sour cream. I was relieved until I was told the real total should have been $8.63!! What the flip! That’s a 10,000 percent up charge easily! Never ever again will I think about sdg. One chance was blown! Potatoes were fine, cooked well and pretty good sized. But wow, talk about blatant theft on their part. At least they could have been baked with some salt and pepper or something. They were completely plain. So if you have $12.95 to spare on 2 baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, go for it. I don’t even want to know what a loaded potato costs! Add another Clovis eatery to the list of places to avoid! I can buy 30+ pounds of potatoes for that price!Update to review on 19 September. Changed from 1.5 to 1 star. Friend dropped us off some teriyaki bowls. Gosh they are so not good. Each component of the bowl has zero flavor. They are obviously banking on the sauce to swoop in and save the dish, but it doesn’t. Tip of the day–(free by the way)–season each stinking part of the dish! It’s not hard. I absolutely hate plain steamed broccoli. I like broccoli, but dont like it when someone ruins it. Why isn’t there any teriyaki base flavors at least in the chicken and rice? I’m not a professional chef with a culinary degree, but I’ve been cooking all types of cuisine for 30 years, and get sort of frustrated when I got nothing to fall back on when I don’t have the the to cook for 6 people. I can make better bowls than those in like 5 seconds. I’ll never go back, even if the meal was free! I think the bowls are approximately $8 each!! My gosh! $48 for my family. I can go to taco Bell and get some pretty good nachos and stuff, and likely be able to buy at least 2 meals with $48.

Always Amazed!. The staff rocks, the food is ALWAYS good. And I go back everytime I’m in town. Its amazing to find a place that pretty much offers everything, and its actually GOOD!

Pretty good. I like Something Different because they offer something different 🙂 It’s sad that this is one of the only places in town to get anything remotely italian style. You can never go wrong with a chicken terriyaki bowl. I always get mine with extra chicken and extra terriyaki. It’s a bit pricey for what you get, but it’s worth it for the most part. Oh, and they deliver (one of the only places in town other than pizza joints)

Not bad food, even better service. The food is good. The staff is always courteous.
