Service sucks. Waitress didn’t write down order so then it was jacked up when it came to the table. Most of the food was warm to cold. No one refilled my drink or even offered. There were like 6 waitresses standing around, but none of them really doing anything. Then they were all eating when I left. When I went to pay at the counter they didn’t know which table I came from. There were only 4 other tables eating at the time. Basically the whole experience sucked. I won’t go back. Probably would have been better to not rebuild after it burnt down.
Inconsistent service, poor management. Went for lunch and for once, didn’t have to wait for long for a table. The food here is usually good but the waitstaff needs training. Overheard at the next table, the waitress Sat down and told the young man that was eating there that his sushi is not ready yet because customers came first(?) I assumed the young man works there but he was nice enough to cancel the order without fuss when. Informed. I didn’t see any management come forward to address the situation, that is poor management and show a lack of respect for my fellow customer and/ or colleague, if he worked there at the restaurant.
Good for Clovis area; below average for the rest of the world. Horrible customer service! waitresses need customer service training. Had a to-go order this time, 45-min wait, they ran out of chicken, never called me to inform me, showed up to pick my order up and they say I can re-order but it will be another 45 minutes. No discount offered; no like free tea while you wait…. Nothing.

Maybe it was a bad night…… I was extremely hungry after being on the road for several hours, so I chose Thai City as I LOVE Thai food. The spring rolls are amazing, however the Pad Thai was less than appealing. Instead of the aromatic flavors of fish sauce, Thai chili, lime, green onion, and fresh peanuts, and crunchy bean sprouts… my dish was reminiscent of dry, left over spaghetti. I was left disappointed and could not finish my meal.
Thai City is my favorite place to eat in Portales. The crab cheese Ragoon is to die for and they have an excellent yellow chicken curry.
Thai City. I went in here one time and the staff was screaming and arguing! You could hear a pin drop from the customers. Do not get the sushi. It is disgusting to even look at. The rest of the menu is alright, but there are way better places to eat in Clovis.
