They Did It Again!. I am a huge fan of the first restaurant, Al’s Big Dipper, and was ecstatic to see them open an eatery that offers breakfast and coffee options. I have been eating at Al’s Other Half now for a few months and have sampled many items on their menu.The item I like the most is their breakfast burritos, which they offer with meat and with veggie-sausage if you desire. They are unlike a normal breakfast burrito, which is what sets them apart. The unique difference is that they grill the burrito after filling it. It gives it a slightly crisp outside and is warm and delicious on the inside. It is served with a very tasty homemade salsa.My next favorite item is the Turkey Bahn Mi sandwich. I usually bribe them to make it in a wrap for me. It is a great wrap if you are in a Vietnamese mood and are wanting something spicy. This is the first sandwich I have had in Albuquerque that had Sriracha sauce on it.The last thing I want to mention about Al’s Other Half is the new venue. It is roomy both inside and out, so it is better for group lunches. The staff is just as awesome as the other location and the food is equally as good. I highly recommend that you try it out.
